Project Description: After being closed for three years, Mont Farlagne was determined to do it right under new management. They realized that a well designed website would serve as a powerful marketing tool that would be effective in touching the Edmundston market as well as outside markets. Both we and the client realized that for this project to be successful, the website needed to be sticky so that visitors would have reason to come back to the website often. To add stickiness to the website, modules such as an events calendar, news listings, photo gallery, real-time weather updates, and trail conditions needed to implemented. Also, the website required to be up to date and easily updated.
Issue: - The website required a very modern look, with people in action.
- The website must be community focused, providing information and media so that visitors will return to the website.
- Required the ability to purchase season passes online.
- Required an advanced content management system.
Solution: - By using a combination of stock and on-site photography, the targeted look was achieved.
- Modules for events, news, photo gallery, trail conditions, and so on were implemented.
- Real-time weather was syndicated from Environment Canada.
- A simple, yet secure e-commerce solution was implemented to allow season passes to be purchased online.
- The website's content is managed by one of our most powerful content management systems. With content loaded in the CMS, the website can update itself based on defined variables.
